Overview
Bound AI is a mobile-first social product that puts an AI assistant at the centre of discovery and conversation — helping people connect, chat, and find relevant content without friction.
The challenge
The AI had to feel native to a fast, social experience: responsive, on-topic, and trustworthy — not a bolt-on chatbot that stalls the app or produces off-brand answers.
Approach & architecture
- Built the cross-platform app in React Native with a clean, motion-led UI.
- Designed a provider-agnostic LLM layer so model choice and prompts stay tunable.
- Used a Node.js API with Firebase for real-time messaging and presence.
- Kept auth, storage, and media handling secure and production-ready.
